Docs

How a Bids launch works, from the one signature to a token that trades on Solana and Robinhood Chain at the same time. Everything here describes what the app does today.

What Bids does

You make a Pump.fun token. Bids gives it a Robinhood Chain market as well. One signature from your wallet starts both.

The two markets hold the same token. Every token that exists on Robinhood Chain is matched by one locked on Solana, so there is never more supply than the one billion Pump.fun minted. The token page shows that backing as one ratio, and it is always 1 to 1.

Launching a token

The launch form asks for a name, a ticker, an image, and optionally a website and an X link. Then two amounts in SOL.

Your first buy
How much of your own token you buy the moment it launches. 0 is allowed. Up to 50 SOL.
Robinhood Chain seed
Bids spends this to buy your token, then moves those tokens to Robinhood Chain so people there have something to buy. 0 means that market waits for its first buyer. Up to 5 SOL.
What you pay
The first buy plus the seed, plus network fees, shown before you sign. Bids takes no launch fee.
The signature
Bids builds the launch transaction and signs it with the new token's mint key. Your wallet adds the last signature. Bids never holds your private key.

What happens after you sign

The token is live on Pump.fun the moment your signature lands. Bids then completes six more steps on its own. Each one is checked before the next starts, and the token page shows where it is.

Live on Solana
Your token exists on Pump.fun and people can buy it.
Seed locked
The tokens you bought as seed are held as backing.
Ready on Robinhood Chain
A matching token exists on Robinhood Chain, one for one.
Bridge connected
The path that moves tokens between chains is ready.
Seed arrived
Your seed tokens have arrived on Robinhood Chain.
Market open
The Robinhood Chain market is set up with your seed.
Live on both
Both markets work. Buyers on either chain can trade.

Backing and supply

Every Pump.fun token has one billion units. On the token page the supply bar shows where they are: still on the curve, held by the creator on Solana, or locked as backing.

On curve
Still for sale on the Pump.fun bonding curve on Solana.
Creator-held
Bought by the creator at launch and kept in their Solana wallet.
Locked backing
Held in escrow on Solana. The same amount is issued on Robinhood Chain, so the mirrored tokens are not extra supply.

Locked always comes first. Robinhood Chain issues a token only after the matching one is locked on Solana, so issued never exceeds locked.

Trading on each chain

Solana
The Pump.fun bonding curve, priced in SOL. This is where the token starts and where most of the supply sits.
Robinhood Chain
A Uniswap V3 pool, priced in ETH. It opens with the seed tokens and no ETH, so the first buyer brings the ETH. Until then there is nothing to sell into.

The two prices are independent. Bids shows each one on its own chart and never assumes they are equal.

Moving tokens between chains

Tokens can go from Solana to Robinhood Chain, or back, from the Move page. You get exactly the same number on the other side. Nothing is taken from the tokens.

Lock
Your tokens are locked on the chain they leave.
Cross
A message travels to the other chain. Usually a few minutes.
Arrive
The same number of tokens shows up in your wallet on the other side.

Moving needs a token that is live on both chains and a connected wallet.

Creator rewards

Pump.fun pays token creators a small cut of every trade. When you launch with Bids, you keep 80% of that cut and Bids keeps 20%. Nothing extra is taken from your token or from traders, and there is no transfer tax.

Payouts go straight to your Solana wallet. The Rewards page shows them per token once people have traded. How Robinhood Chain pool fees are split is not decided yet.

What a status means

Waiting for signature
A quote exists and you have not signed yet. Nothing has been sent.
Submitted
Your signature landed on Solana. The token exists and the seed, if you chose one, is locked.
Setting up
Bids is building the Robinhood Chain side: the matching token, the bridge, the seed arriving, the market.
Live on both
Both markets work. Buyers on either chain can trade.
Waiting for first buyer
Live on Solana with no seed. The Robinhood Chain market waits for its first buyer to bring ETH.
Failed
A step did not finish. The token page says which one, and the remaining steps can be run again.

Networks

This is the local test build. Launches here run on a local Solana test validator and a local Robinhood Chain test node. No token has launched on a public network yet.

Robinhood Chain is a blockchain. A token on it is not a Robinhood brokerage listing.
